James Silver (was £52)
This pocket square featuring James, our Footman from 1907, is printed in Worcestershire and hand-finished in Gillingham England. James' livery is presented in navy blue on a silver background with a bronze coin pattern. The square is finished with a hand rolled hem. The 100% light satin silk used for the pocket square has a subtle sheen and a light, airy hand. This is the lightest silk that Thomas Fortin have in our pocket square range.
At the turn of the century in England looks, and particularly height, were a fundemental attribute in gaining employment in service. A taller, better looking Footman could command a decent wage.
