Back in the day when men wore pocket watches they would keep them on a chain and attach one end of the chain to a button hole and the other end of the chain attached to their watch which they would keep in a small watch pocket on their waiscoat. Often men would decorate their chain with a fob, such as this one in the pictures. The fobs were often engraved to commemorate events, occasions, sports clubs etc. This sterling silver fob has an inlaid copper display with the inscription S.E.S.C.L. 1911. possibly referencing the South East Shires Cricket League but that's speculation. The fob is hallmarked on the back with the date stamp from Birmingham England 1910 by William Hair Haseler Ltd. The fob is 3cm x 3.5cm wide. In it's self its a beautiful chain pendant but cooupled with that background history and with it being the adronments of the Englsih Edwardian gent we so admire at thomas Fortin, it holds even more value. Available on a 20" 22" or 24" inch chain
